Setting up your First Automation

Step 1: Go to Campaigns ⇨ Automations in Autonami

Step 2: Click on Add New Automation

Step 3: Enter your automation title

Enter Automation Title in Autonami

Then, click on Add.

Step 4: Assign a trigger

It'll show you the following screen.

The title you have entered will come under All Automations. You'll be shown with a Start When box where you can select an action to trigger your automation.

Now, select your trigger

You'll get the option of selecting the plugin and then choosing the corresponding event.

Here, we are creating abandoned email automation. Therefore, we have selected "WooCoomerce" as the plugin and "Cart Abandoned" as the event.

Step 5: Add the next action by clicking on the + button

There are two types of actions to choose from Direct Action or Conditional Action

  • Direct Action - To directly execute an action
  • Conditional Action - If you want to meet any specific condition before the action executes
Direct and Conditional action in Autonami

Step 6: Now click on the Select Action button

A pop-up window will appear where you have to assign an action. Here we have selected "Send Email" as the action.

Click on Continue.

Step 7: Compose your email

Go through different options such as Template, To, Subject line, Body part, send a test email, add UTM parameters, etc and fill out the respective information.

You can use merge tags for the 'to' section. By default, it’ll add your prospect’s email address while live capturing the data on the checkout page.

You can even use merge tags to personalize the email copy by adding your prospect's first name to the content.

Once you've completed editing your email, click on the area outside of the email section. Autonami will automatically save your draft.

Step 8: Turn the automation live

You have to switch it to Live with a simple tap on this bar.

This toggle button will activate your first automation in Autonami. So if your user abandons their cart, they’ll receive a Cart Abandoned Automation email from you.

Turn the toggle to active to make your automation go live

Now, if you want to add more actions, you can repeat the above steps and choose appropriate actions.

That's it! You have now set up your first automation.
